Justin Bieber is becoming a man
Justin Bieber has cemented his place as one of the biggest music stars in the world by being crowned most searched person on the world wide web on 2011.

The 17-year-old popstar beat uber-celebrity Kim Kardashian, who topped the charts last year.

In third place, surprisingly, was Hollywood actress and former Friends megastar Jennifer Aniston, who had a busy year personally and professionally.

Bieber, who has gone from YouTube anonymity to worldwide fame with cheesy delights Baby, One Time and One Less Lonely Girl, is now looking to build upon this by tackling the adult market.

He wants Bieber Fever to be applicable to adults as well as young people in a bid to be taken as a serious musician who produced timeless classics.

Kuk Harrell, the producer of Bieber's new album, recently told MTV, that the singer was looking forward to the next chapter of his career.

"The only conversation we've had about Justin's album that we're about to do is it's really important that it's the proper transition because we've seen him [with] 'Baby,' now we're watching him grow up," Mr Harrell told the news provider.

"And we can't just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There's a record in between. That's why I think this Christmas album was really important because it gave everybody the opportunity to hear him, see him and get used to his voice changing."
