Them Crooked Vultures announce London date in aid of ill musician
Supergroup Them Crooked Vultures are to play a special show in London in aid of Eagles of Death Metal's bass guitarist Brian O'Connor.
O'Connor has been diagnosed with cancer but does not have medical insurance, meaning a fund has been set up to help to pay for his treatment.
In order to contribute to the fundraising effort, Them Crooked Vultures will play a show at the O2 Brixton Academy on July 5th 2010, with the net proceeds from the gig being donated to O'Connor.
Joshua Homme - one of the members of Them Crooked Vultures along with Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones was one of the co-founders of Eagles of Death Metal.
Earlier this year, Paul McCartney revealed to the Daily Mail that he had asked to play bass guitar in Them Crooked Vultures, but was told by Grohl that John Paul Jones had already been approached about playing the instrument in the group.Posted on 17 Jun 2010 10:06 to category : Band / Celebrity News
