Travis Barker: Blink 182 album will be ready by summer
Travis Barker, the man behind the drum kit in Blink 182, has said the group's new album should be completed in the next few months.
Speaking to MTV, the star said a June or July finish date now looks likely and explained he is feeling excited about getting the new songs out to the public.
"The stuff's awesome," he stated. "It's coming close to the point where these are completed songs and they're not going to change. These are album versions."
Barker revealed the delay in bringing the record out - after work initially began on it in February 2009 - was down to the hectic schedules of the three band members.
He said all of them now have home studios, which means they are continuously tweaking the material they have come up with.
The drummer and the rest of Blink 182 will be in the UK later this year for an arena tour.
Their British dates will kick off on July 1st in Birmingham, before they move around the country to visit venues in Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester and Newcastle.
A pair of shows at the O2 Arena in London will conclude the gig run on July 18th and 19th.
