Twitter planning new music app
The social media site has been making significant changes in recent months and its purchase of music -sharing service We Are Hunted last year has strengthened rumours of a Twitter app.
According to CNET, the new tool, which looks set to be called Twitter Music, will suggest a host of personalised songs and artists to users.
As well as informing people about new music and artists, the app will also recommend bands and singers to follow on the microblogging site.
The launch of the new service, which has been touted as a potential competitor to the likes of Pandora and Spotify, comes on the back of the launch of the Vine app last year, which allows users to upload short video clips.
Twitter Music will keep the original branding from the social networking site and it already has its own profile, boasting around two million followers.
