U2: Bad shoes hampered Glasto performance
Frontman Bono told Q magazine that his very distinct pair of shoes couldn't get a good grip on the stage, which had been soaked by the heavy downpour of rain.
And there were a lot more other factors too, the singer said.
"There was the DJ under the stage, playing music in between sets, and he bumped into our keyboard computer. So we lost all the keyboards," he told the magazine.
"I walked out and realised that the stage was like an ice rink and I was wearing the wrong shoes. I couldn't move – I was stuck on the spot. We were a bit freaked out."
Nevertheless, other fans lauded the performance, which was their first headline set at the festival. They were due to play at Glastonbury before, but Bono was suffering from severe back pain at the time.
The might be mega famous and well-known for their hit music, but U2 recently admitted they feel like they are on the edge of the music business.Posted on 2 Nov 2011 09:34 to category : Band / Celebrity News
