UPDATED! NAMM 2015: ARP Odyssey Duophonic Analog Synthesizers
Three ARP Odyssey models have been revealed. The ARP Odyssey Duophonic Analog Synthesizer MK3 has been reproduced from the circuit up, with input from the original founder.
The MK3 version provides the filter circuits from all three original versions of the ARP Odyssey, interchangeable with a single switch.
The original design has been preserved, albeit shrunk down to 86% of its size. A slim 37-note keyboard allows you to cover a broad range of 7 octaves with the transpose function.
New features include the DRIVE switch, delivering a more powerful analog sound which makes the VCA distort. Connectivity-wise, there's a MIDI in, USB MIDI ports, balanced XLR audio outputs and a headphones out.
Two limited edition models in the original colour schemes have also been released, the ARP Odyssey Ltd Edition Duophonic Analog Synthesizer Rev1 in white, and the ARP Odyssey Duophonic Analog Synthesizer Rev2 in Black and Gold.
