Vampire Weekend's Eden Project show cancelled
Vampire Weekend's planned gig at the Eden Project in Cornwall has been cancelled.
As part of the Eden Session series of shows, the guitar band had been due to play the venue on June 24th 2010, with their support act being Broken Bells.
No reason was given for the cancellation but organisers said they were "terribly sorry" that Vampire Weekend would now not be playing.
People who had tickets for the show were advised that they will be able to make claims for full refunds up until June 24th but will not receive anything should they apply for money back after this date.
A host of other acts are still lined up to perform at the Eden Project in the next few weeks, with acoustic guitar player Jack Johnson to play on June 26th.
His gig will be followed by Mika on June 27th, while Doves will headline on July 2nd supported by Mumford and Sons.Posted on 18 Jun 2010 16:11 to category : Band / Celebrity News
