Versatile home musician aims for hit single
A guitar player from Somerset is hoping to crack the charts with a song he recorded in just one day at home.
Julian Pugsley, who is signed to Eden Records, recorded Ordinary Person in a home studio that he created in his bedroom.
"The hardest thing was getting the drum kit up the stairs," he revealed.
Speaking to the Bath Chronicle, he revealed that he had to record the track quickly as he did not want to annoy his neighbours.
Pugsley added that he believes he could enter the lower reaches of the charts if 750 people download the song, which he is releasing under the moniker of Blake.
He is not the first musician to play every single instrument on a record, as artists including Paul McCartney and John Fogerty have also adopted the one-man band approach in the past.Posted on 7 Jan 2010 16:00 to category : Instruments News
