Violin player impresses Britain's Got Talent judges
A violin player from Doncaster has caught the eye of the Britain's Got Talent judges.
Amanda Holden, David Hasselhoff and Michael McIntyre all agreed that Alex Parker is a talented musician, however, he was dropped when producers whittled down the numbers for the live semi-finals shows, reports the Star.
However, the violin expert, who could regularly be seen busking on the streets of her hometown, is pleased that she made it through to the final 200, from over 40,000 applicants.
"I wore my leather outfit and as soon as I walked on Michael McIntyre joked 'you're through'! I played for them, and they were all really pleased, and each of them said 'yes' to putting me through," she told the news provider.
She added that her audition had been lots of fun, but she felt she could have played better.
"My legs were shaking so much that I couldn't really dance," Alex continued.
However, Alex still dreams of finding fame with her musical instrument, and will be continue gigging around the country, with her next show taking place in The Regency Ballroom in Ashfield, Nottingham on Saturday May 7th.
Alex is a classically trained violinist and plays modernised classical pieces and contemporary popular music.
She plays a signature white electric violin.
