Violinist named World's Fastest Superhuman
Ben Lee, from Eastbourne in Sussex, wowed judges and scientists on the Quest programme Superhuman Showdown who then unanimously voted him the fastest human in the world.
It was after the 32-year-old fiddler played The Flight of the Bumblebee at an average of 15 notes per second and beat the likes of a base jumper and even a speed shooter to claim the sought-after accolade.
All contestants were measured for speed in a controlled environment and Mr Lee beat world base race champion Frode Johannessen who has the ability to fly unassisted at speeds of 170mph, while Jerry Miculek can fire eight rounds at four targets at a rate of 1.06 seconds.
Mr Lee said: "I set new records not only in electric violin, but in classical as well and from there I took the next challenge - to appear on Superhuman Showdown beating some incredible competition."
The fiddler is also one-half of rock violin duo Fuse which cover classic hits on the electric instrument including Coldplay's Fix You and Michael Jackson's iconic Beat It.
