Warwick Music announces launch of pBone Eb mini
This instrument creates the same sound as its larger predecessor but is much more lightweight and easy for players to carry around making it ideal for children who are looking to take up this form of music.
Chris Fower, Warwick Music, explained to Mi Pro that appealing to a younger audience was one of the driving forces behind the creation of the pBone Eb mini. However, he went on to say that it is not solely for children.
The small shank mouthpiece means that it is a great addition for any jazz players' collection and is a really simple instrument to pick up at home.
Fower told the news provider: "We think the mini will be really cool for trombonists, who haven't yet got an alto, but it is also ideal as a starter instrument for kids as young as five. We've even created a smaller ‘mini' mouthpiece that helps kids produce a range of notes on an Eb trombone more easily."
The company has also been responsible for launching the larger pBone is which comes in a range of colours.
