Weezer work with Ryan Adams on new song
Acoustic guitar player Ryan Adams has teamed up with Weezer to help the band record a new song for their next album.
News of the collaboration was revealed by Weezer's frontman Rivers Cuomo, who told MTV that fans of his group can expect to hear new material "very soon".
He added that it had been pleasure to work with Adams on one of the new tracks and is happy with the results of the recording.
"It's a very stirring and emotional and powerful Weezer song. He was really inspiring to work with," said Cuomo.
"He plays lead guitar on it, but it will be on the Weezer record."
Earlier this year, Weezer announced that they will also be rereleasing their 1996 album Pinkerton this year, as well as a collection of B-sides and rarities.
The band's bass guitar player Scott Shriner told Billboard that the latter record will allow fans to hear the "many cool things" done by the band which never made it on to full albums.Posted on 25 Jun 2010 09:46 to category : Band / Celebrity News
