Why Dunlop's Latest Design Is Turning Heads
Contained in casing half the size of the original EP-3 unit, the Echoplex comes in at the size of a Phase 90. Its simplistic control interface and a hi-fi analog all analog dry path ensure an easy to dial method of play, making it perfect for the get up and go guitarist.
One of the pedal's most distinctive features, is its 'Age Mode', where it is capable of performing as a perfectly calibrated, factory fresh tape echo machine would- bright and clear tape with subtle wow and flutter modulation. A push of the volume knob allows you to 'age' the sound of individual repeats, darkening the tone and or upping the tape saturation.
Another feature of the pedal is the tap tempo functionality, an integrated specification that allows for up to 4 seconds delay time. The Echoplex delays signal receives the same tonal conditioning that the EP101 Echoplex Guitar Preamp provides, whilst leaving the dry signal untouched, making for a perfectly rounded and comprehensively well balanced tone.
