Win John Lennon inspired guitar rig with Total Guitar magazine
Total Guitar magazine are giving one lucky reader the chance to win a Lennon-inspired electric guitar rig.
John Lennon's famous guitar sound was found through a combination of his 1965 Epiphone Casino through a Vox AC30 amp.
Lennon's Epiphone Casino featured a pair of 'dog-eared' P90 pickups, parallelogram inlays, trapeze tailpiece and vintage sunburst finish.
The Vox AC30 plays just a big a part in Lennon's sound. The Beatles had an endorsement deal with Vox amplifiers since their early days and played Vox amps almost exclusively for the majority of their career.
Lennon used both the Casino and AC30 throughout most of his career - from Revolver through to the end of The Beatles' career.
For your chance to win two of the most famous musical instruments in rock history, pickup a copy of Total Guitar magazine at your local newsagent for entry details.Posted on 30 Nov 2010 16:37 to category : Instruments News
