World's Highest Earning DJs Revealed
The list was complied by taking income estimations from live shows, endorsements, sales of music and merch, as well as outside revenue streams.
The 13 highest-earning include Calvin Harris at number one with $46 million, more than doubling the income raked in last year by Tiesto, who was knocked down one spot to 2nd place in 2013. Harris and Tiesto are followed by French DJ David Guetta.
Although they disbanded in March, the three members of Swedish House Mafia made it to number 4 on the list.
The list is made up of all males, with Deadmau5 taking 5th place with estimate earnings of $21 million, largely due to merchandising deals.
The youngest entrant on the list is computer DJ Avicii, who is yet to release his debut album but comes above Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, last year's number 2 Skrillex and Kaskade (both tied on $16 million) and Steve Aoki on $14 million in 11th place.
Jersey Shore's DJ Pauly D rakes in less per show than those above him on the list, yet he has a range of outside business interests that keep him on the list for the second year running. He's tied with producer and Major Lazer DJ, Diplo on $13 million.
