Wretch 32: Brit snub hurts
Jermaine Sinclair as he is known outside of the rap game told the Daily Star that he thought the Brits were a big deal.
Consequently, to not get nominated, especially after a fantastic year of commercial and critical success, his feelings have been heart.
"It's sad not to be nominated, but if you're not in the running when everybody knows you should have been, then that's cool," he told the newspaper.
"When you get massive love from supporters, none of the other stuff matters."
Wretch 22 is from Tottenham in London and originally came from the grime music scene where his chilled out vocals made him a big underground name.
He has been busy in the studio working on a follow-up album to Black and White, which brought him to the attention of the mainstream media.
Hit tracks on that record included Traktor, Unorthodox, Don't Go and Forgiveness.
