Owners of Yamaha Motif XS musical equipment will have the chance to improve their skills on the synthesizer.

The company is running a two-day workshop in Milton Keynes on July 16th and 17th 2010, where training will be given on topics such as voice editing and sampling.

Users of the Motif XS keyboard workstations will also have the opportunity to meet professional musicians who use the equipment, along with talking to Yamaha's own specialists and demonstrators.

The cost of the course is £150 and the company stated that it expects the event to be "heavily oversubscribed".

Last month, a special concert was held in London to mark the 20th anniversary of the Yamaha Music Foundation.

Performances from former scholars who have benefited from the scheme were given at the event, which took place in the Faber & Faber recital hall, reported MI-Pro.

More than 850 scholarships have been given out by the foundation since its inception.
