Yamaha YAS275 Saxophone Praised in Music Teacher Magazine
The popular YAS275 saxophone woodwind instrument from Yamaha has been the choice of music teachers for many years, and has recently been praised in the industry magazine.
In the May issue of Music Teacher magazine, Neil Crossley looked at what's available at the student end of the market.
"Traditionally, this has always been the teacher's favourite choice of beginner sax, so I was keen to see how it fared in terms of playability and value for money in comparison to others."
Whilst he recognised that the sax wasn't the cheapest choice on the market, he said it did represent value for money - "in this case anyway, you do get what you pay for and I loved the Yamaha."
"It looked good and felt easy to play, with the octave key feeling close enough for smaller hands."
"Build quality and intonation were excellent and the sound was immediate and fairly bright, but with a depth and character the other saxes lacked."
Neil spoke of how he sax was a dependable brass instrument and could last the full distance for "any student could play this sax right up to the Grade 6 plus."
The YAS275E enjoys high-quality features at a student model price and boasts durability, great tone, excellent intonation, easy playability and perfect consistency.Posted on 6 Jul 2010 14:55 to category : Instruments News
