Yamaha gets involved with young pianist competition
The musical instrument manufacturer has helped with the promotion of the second Piano Competition for Young Pianists, which was run in conjunction with Manchester-based music school Chetham's.
Kumi Liley, manager of Yamaha artist services for London and a member of the judging panel, said: "We experienced some real virtuosity and some incredibly commanding and sensitive performances throughout the day [and] our youngest entrant was only ten years old."
