Yamaha guitars "that little bit different"

Guitarists seeking to forge their own musical identity could do much worse than playing instruments made by Yamaha, one musician has suggested.

br /> In an interview with the company's official website, Louisa Bartoli stated that as well as being good value for money, Yamahas are "are just that little bit different from everything else out there".

She owns a Yamaha LLX6A electro-acoustic and a Yamaha SG1000 electric guitar.

Attention-grabbing good looks and great diversity are two of the things she enjoys the most about the latter instrument, which she uses with a Boss OS-2 overdrive/distortion pedal and an Orange Crush 30R practice amp.

Bartoli stated that the "guitar does all the work, so simplicity is the key" to her choice of effects and amplification, with a desire to not "upset the neighbours" also influencing her rig.

Chris Martin of Coldplay and piano rock band Keane are among the famous musicians to also play Yamaha instruments.
