Yamaha to teach nursery children how to play piano
Concert pianist Hayley Elton will be leading the events, which will see a mini-recital given to youngsters and their parents.
The children will also be taught how to play a simple tune on the piano in five minutes, reports MI-Pro.
Ms Elton described the opportunity to teach the piano to young minds as a "dream" for her.
"These events will also be a real eye-opener for parents who will see the tremendous benefits of introducing their children to music-making at such an early age," she added.
Between January and June 2011, she will visit nurseries in Whetstone, Cambridge, Southend and Liverpool.
Earlier this month, shadow culture secretary for Scotland Pauline McNeill said it was important children from all economic backgrounds are given access to musical instruments to help with their development as a person.
