Yeah Yeah Yeahs to launch new album next year
Jason Bentley, host of the Morning Becomes Eclectic show, revealed that the band would be launching their new album in the opening months of the year when speaking on Los Angeles radio station KCRW.
While there has been no word from the band themselves, frontwoman Karen O told The Sun at the end of 2011 that she had "been tinkering around on some new Yeah Yeah Yeahs music with the boys".
The 2013 release would represent the group's follow-up to 2009's It's Blitz and become their fourth record after 2003's Forever To Tell, 2006's Show Your Bone and the aforementioned recent release.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs have had notable success with all of their albums and received a Grammy nomination for each individual record and Show Your Bones was named as the second best record of 2006 by NME.
While there has been no official word on another album, this news will already be whetting the appetite of fans across the world.
