Youngster becomes YouTube piano-playing sensation
Child "prodigy" George Harliono, who is 11 years old, has been wowing people around the city with dazzling renditions of La Campanella on a white piano, and the video has gone viral over the internet, clocking up 66,000 views, Cambridge News reports.
Pianos have been set up across the city as part of a project entitled Play Me I'm Yours from the Festival of Ideas initiative and while out shopping with his mum, George felt compelled to give it a go.
He told the news provider: "I just sat down and started playing several pieces including La Campanella. It was quite difficult in the cold but I did get loads of different people watching – quite young and quite old."
George has already been awarded the ABRSM diploma for music which is normally given to people over the age of 19 and his passion for playing the piano knows no bounds.
The Play Me I'm Yours scheme has been used all over the world since its creation 2008 and encourages people to have a go on street pianos.
