Zoom recording equipment to appeal to indie market
The home recording and effects specialist is looking to target those musicians that want to do things for themselves rather than having to fork out large sums of money to book time in a professional recording studio.
Zoom is heading to this year's MIRC following the release of the Multistomp MS-100BT effects pedal, which incorporates Bluetooth technology to allow connectivity to an iPad, iPod or iPhone allowing easy recording.
It recently announced the launch of the H6 Handy Recorder which made an appearance at this year's Musikmesse event in Germany. It gives players a recorder which also has an interchangeable mic system, a world first.
Speaking about the importance of the indie market, Anthony Bekesi, Zoom's managing director, told MI Pro: "We would love to do whatever levels of business we can with indie retail and to ensure that they can make the kind of profit margins they both wish to and need to make when they sell our products."
