At its core, the Darkglass Microtubes B7K Ultra V2 is a drive and EQ pedal. The drive circuit is inherited from the B7K V2 pedal and gives your sound a lush saturation for rocking riffs and solos. The drive circuit features a blend dial to control the wet mix, while the dual footswitch layout allows you to activate the EQ independently. Two 3-way toggles allow you to shape the drive sound, affecting the attack and 'grunt'.
The B7K Ultra V2's 4-band EQ gives a wide-range of tonal sculpting options, whether you're plugged into an amp or directly into a PA. Along with the 4 standard EQ controls, the B7K Ultra features two 3-way toggle switches which offer 6 different mid-range modes to tailor your sound to perfection. From a crisp, clean preamp to crushing high-gain distortion and everything in-between, the Microtubes B7K Ultra is a fully-featured tone shaping device for the most discerning bass players.
The B7K Ultra features an additional 3.5mm headphone out and a direct balanced-XLR output, letting you get connected in the studio, the practice room, and on the stage. The direct outputs feature a switchable ground-lift to deal with pesky ground loops, alongside an Impulse Response (IR) that allows you to add the sound of a professionally mic'd cabinet to your direct signal.
The Microtubes B7K Ultra allows you to load in IRs for the sound of a perfectly mic'd cabinet. This is ideal for silent practice, direct recording, or for sending a direct signal to your mixing engineer with the minimum of fuss. The pedal can be connected to your PC and Mac via the free Darkglass Suite and a USB cable, allowing you to load in different IRs (one at a time) to access your favourite sound without needing to worry about microphones and noise-spill. This gives you an incredible rig that is perfect for both studio and live use.
