Key Features
Product Ref: 106185
The Ibanez AEWC31BC guitar is elegantly crafted with a sapele body, topped with bocote. The sapele tonewood sides offer a consistently well-balanced sound, with a beautifully bright quality and a stunning top-end shimmer. Combined with bocote, players can expect an attractive reddish-brown colour, along with distinctive grain. Both tonewoods give a distinctive sound and appearance that will gain attention and inspire creative players. Finally, a soft Florentine cutaway provides easier access to the higher frets, allowing more tonal variety and fingerboard flexibility.
Constructed from mahogany, the neck delivers a fat, warm sound with plenty of resonance. Due to the density of mahogany, it is less susceptible to warping, offering stability and durability. The neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, producing warmth and a bright sizzling-sparkle that really shines through when using fingerpicking techniques. The rosewood fingerboard also offers a smooth and energetic playing experience, ensure players receive the perfect level of comfort.
The 2018 Ibanez AEWC31BC comes equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez's AEQ-SP2 preamp, with a built-in tuner. The Fishman Sonitone pickup captures your acoustic's natural voice beautifully, clearly, and purely. The sound captured can then be tweaked via the on-board AEQ-SP2 preamp, offering a discreet side-mount located on the upper-bout, and enables players to easily achieve the right tonal balance. In addition, the preamp features an on-board tuner, providing quick and easy tuning whilst on the go or within live settings. The Ibanez Acoustic Guitar is also equipped with a standard 1/4" jack, as well as a XLR output for plugging directly into a PA sound system. With both versatile sound options, this guitar is the perfect choice for gigging singer-songwriters.
Unlike standard bridge pins, Ibanez’s advantage bridge pins are easier to take out and easier to put in. Each pin features a bulb shaped end, which is not only easy to grip, but also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far, for a reliable performance.
