Constructed from an all flamed maple body, the Artcore guitar produces a focused tone with an impressive sustain and character. With a clear, defined upper midsection and a high-end sparkle, the maple body delivers a balanced low-end response ideal for chiming chords and super bright lead patterns. The thin design delivers traditional jazz tones with an excellent midrange to complement your playing, while the smooth contours makes the Ibanez an incredibly comfortable guitar to play. A pair of classic 'F' sound holes are also featured on the soundboard, allowing the natural sound to be projected acoustically. These elegantly cut holes also provide a classic look that many guitarists associate with the 1950s era.
The Artcore Expressionist has been specifically designed to meet the demands of today's cutting edge players, offering superb craftsmanship and hardware for the best sound. As well as proving a resonant body with comfortable contours, a three-piece mahogany/maple neck is also incorporated for added comfort and an enhanced tone. This three-piece neck is mounted with a bound ebony fingerboard with acrylic block inlays. Ebony is a great choice for fingerboards, as its natural smoothness reduces finger fatigue ideal for fast playing styles, and provides the perfect platform for percussive styles such as tapping or hammer-ons.
The Ibanez AS93FM delivers beautiful tones perfect for jazz fans, with its choice of incredible Super 58 pickups which have been used by artists like George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Scofield. This vintage choice of pickup delivers warm, balanced articulation, an excellent response, and a perfect tone for jazz guitarists. These pickups are capable of delivering a 'jazz clean' tone, as well as 'blues-dirty' for a versatile performance.
The AS series guitar features the ART-1 bridge and Quik Change III tailpiece combination in a stunning gold finish, creating a beautifully modern yet old appearance to complement the guitar’s aesthetics. While the bridge helps improve the strings sustain and tuning stability, the tailpiece allows for a faster and easier string change than standard bridges.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
