The MPC Live II has built-in speakers and battery power. With its industry-defining features of the MPC family, plus brand-new enhancements, this is a production tool made to go wherever you do.

The MPC Live is back, and it’s better than ever. After a re-launch of the legendary series in 2017 with the MPC Live and MPC X, and following the hugely successful MPC One, MPCs have once again became staple standalone production pieces in studios across the globe.

Today, Akai Professional adds another machine to the iconic MPC series, with the new Akai Professional MPC Live II.

What’s new with the MPC Live II?

Built-In Monitors

The Akai Professional MPC Live II now has a built-in monitoring system, making this the most standalone Akai MPC ever. This system has been designed to accurately portray ever nuance, from sharp, mix-cutting hi-hats, to the snap and low end of a classic 808 drum sample.

Not only is this convenient if you lose your headphones or forget an adaptor, but it also makes on-the-go collaboration easier than ever! Start the beat, plug in any instrument or microphone, and feel the music flow.

C/V Gate Inclusion

CV/Gates are now a staple on all Akai Professional MPC products, and the Akai MPC Live II is no different. The MPC Live II has four CV/Gate jacks (eight outputs total) built into the machine, meaning you can now hook up any external modular gear and control it with the MPC.

Either use the 16 iconic MPC pads - programming signals on the touchscreen - or use the new MULTI MIDI feature and having a MIDI keyboard hooked up to the MPC.

MULTI MIDI Capability

The MPC Live II further re-affirms its crown as the ultimate standalone system with the new MPC 2.8 firmware loaded on arrival. This software turns your MPC into the ultimate MIDI sequencing studio, allowing you to simultaneously connect, and route class-compliant USB keyboards, MIDI interfaces, and USB to CV Modules.

With the appropriate powered USB hub, you can run up to 32 MIDI devices simultaneously! Not only do you have CV/Gates built into the MPC directly, you have even more potential inputs. Whether you are sending MIDI to a synthesiser, drum machine, sound module, or even doing multitrack recording, then MPC Live II is the beating heart of any production setup.
