Badly Drawn Boy: New album will be a departure
Singer and guitar player Badly Drawn Boy has revealed that his upcoming album will be a departure from earlier records.
Damon Gough is currently in the process of recording the follow-up to Is There Nothing We Can Do, which was released last month.
However, he told BBC 6 Music that despite his success over the last decade, he is keen to take his music in a different direction.
"There are certain things I've not done yet that I need to try and do," he commented.
Gough admitted that in the past, he has felt stifled by his musical ability.
However, he is now recording with a team of people who embrace spontaneity and act upon new ideas.
He compared his colleagues to family and hailed being able to go into the recording studio without being afraid.
"I feel like I'm starting again with my music," he stated.
The Bolton-born musician, 40, has so far released six albums and a number of singles and EPs over the last ten years.Posted on 5 Jan 2010 21:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
