Fender Bassman TV Fifteen hailed in review
Fender has recently revamped and released its Bassman series of amplifiers, and this month, Guitarist Magazine has been checking out the results.
The new Bassman Amplifier range includes two smaller models, the Bassman TV Ten and the Bassman TV Twelve.
There are also two more powerful amps built for the gigging musician - the Bassman TV Duo 10 and the Bassman TV Fifteen.
Strong tonal hints of the original amplifiers can be found within these new revamped models.
These amp bring 'pure nostalgia' with strong aesthetic hints of the old model still present (including of course, the TV-style front that gave the amp its name).
A successful amendment to the TV Fifteen is the upgrade in power complimented by the strong build quality.
Guitarist Magazines reviewer stated that by "upping power by around 300 watts over the original it now has the clout it needs for modern players."
Looking at the Bassman TV Fifteen specifically, Guitarist Magazine argued that "this is definitely built for jobbing bassists".
Although Guitarist Magazine praised all the amplifiers within the new range, they had particular admiration for the Duo Ten and TV Fifteen.
The Duo Ten is recommended for 'funkier, modern styles of playing' and the TV Fifteen for its 'all-round rock versatility'.
