Get a grip with the AlphaSphere music instrument
The AlphaSphere is a new innovative music instrument that is set to revolutionise the way musicians engage with sound.
Adam Place, the instrument's creator, worked with a team of sound engineers from Bristol to develop what is an original music instrument that has never before been seen, reported ubergizmo.
It is a unique concept that could have massive ramifications to how music is composed.
The idea came after the inventor found himself bored with regular keyboards that didn't offer him anything new as a musician.
The spherical music device is made up of a number of pads that emit sounds of varying levels of noise and pace by how much force is applied upon them.
Mr Place told the online gadget news provider: "With the AlphaSphere, the notes change as you press harder and harder, you really engage with the instrument, and you can perform with it."
For example, if you press one pad a drum beat will begin. Press harder and the beat will increase its speed.
In total, there are four-dozen pressure pads.
The object looks very much like a football with the black pads resembling the patches that are more commonly found on the ball.
