Interpol's bass guitar player departs
Carlos Dengler, the bass guitar player in Interpol, has left the group.
The band announced the news on their official website as they confirmed that their fourth record has been finished.
A statement from the indie group said: "After the completion of the album, Carlos informed the rest of us that he would be leaving the band.
"He has decided to follow another path and to pursue new goals."
It added that the bass guitar player's departure had been amicable and described Dengler as a "blazingly talented individual".
Dengler's place in Interpol will now be taken by an unknown number of different musicians described as "illustrious players" by the group, with an announcement due ahead of the band touring their new album across the world this summer.
The band said fans should expect a heavy record, which the group put their collective heart into.
Interpol's previous albums include Turn on the Bright Lights, Antics and Our Love to Admire.Posted on 11 May 2010 07:50 to category : Music News
