This particular sound has been closely modelled on the Korg CX-3 combo organ, which made its debut in 1980. To emulate this much-loved classic sound in the Kronos, proprietary Korg technology has been used to provide the feel and sound of the CX-3's vacuum tube amp and modulation effects.
The Kronos' joystick in the x-axis can also help control the speed of the rotary speaker effect. You also have the ability to chosen from seven types of rotary speaker sounds. Furthermore, Korg had engineered other nuances such as the instability, fold-back and leakage of tonewheels to provide further authenticity to this particular sound engine.
