Line 6 Release New DT50 Guitar Amps
The new amp range promises to deliver inspiring amp tones due to a tight integration of flexible, boutique tube design and innovative HD amp modelling technology.
“By far the most creative and advanced integration of tubes and amp modeling technology today can be found under the hood of DT50,” comments Elliot Chenault, Line 6 Product Manager.
“We’ve totally rethought the relationship between modeling and tubes."
"The digital section of the amplifier effectively “talks” with the analog section, which was designed by living-legend tube amp designer Reinhold Bogner."
"The result is an incredibly responsive and distinctive amplifier that stands alone as Line 6’s flagship amp.”
From classic American cleans and reverb, to the crunchy British sound and modern high-gain distortion, the DT50 range give astonishing results.
To give uncompromisingly realistic tone, each of the voicings contains a preamp and tone stack driven the Line 6's new HD technology.
Paired with dynamic analog circuitry, which includes a tube configuration and negative feedback topology, the DT50 range is set to be a competition beating amplifier.
To achieve the American amp voicing the DT50 amps use the HD modelling to produce a gleaming, brilliantly clean tone.
This is in turn supported by automatic reconfiguration of the analog heart of the DT50 to produce a high amount of negative feedback - giving a sound realistic in every way to the sound of the American amplifier.
With easy front panel access to the tube amp's analog class A / Class AB and Pentode / triode switches, players can quickly dial in their own tones.
The DT50 offers guitarists a truly groundbreaking amp sound, harnessing the best of modern technology with the beauty of classic analog design.
Two channels are available to guitarists, in the classic setup, offering a simple and engaging experience whether in the studio or live.
With the proprietary L6 LINK technology, POD HD can add a huge range of effects, trigger analog circuit configurations on board the DT50 and much, much more.
All DT50 amps ship with a realistic spring reverb model on each channel, a serial FX loop, and a volume pot that can be used to engage low volume mode, ideal for home practice.
With a transformer tapped XLR connection, cabinet simulation is provided via a direct output, providing a line-level output that interacts intelligently with the DT50 speaker and tubes.
DT50 112 features a 12-inch custom Celestion G12H90 speaker; DT50 212 features 12-inch Celestion Vintage 30 and custom Celestion G12H90 speakers; DT50 412 cab is cross-loaded with two 12-inch custom Celestion G12H90s and two 12-inch Celestion Vintage 30s.Posted on 30 Sep 2010 16:06 to category : Instruments News
