Mark Ronson enters the world of ballet

Mark Ronson's career continues to surprise with a move into ballet.
Ronson is in-demand all the time
Mark Ronson continues to evolve as a musician with the announcement he is to score the music to a ballet.

The hit producer, who first started out as a hip-hop DJ, has grown to be one of the most in-demand musicians of his generation, working on records with artists as diverse as Amy Winehouse and hit eighties band Duran Duran.

This latest project will see him work closely with the choreographer Wayne McGregor to produce a piece of music that will accompany a new dance piece by the Royal Ballet.

It will look to bring together different styles of music, art and culture, bridging the divide between the classical and pop worlds.

The music will "focus on the Jungian theme of anima/animus and the theory of collective masculine and feminine unconscious", the Royal Ballet stated.

Ronson has been busy working with upcoming British star Katy B on a new tune entitled Anywhere in the World for Coca-Cola, which is being used by the company for its advertisements during the London 2012 Olympic Games.
