Muse drummer: The Edge's appearance at Glastonbury was amazing
He joined Muse onstage for a surprise rendition of Where The Streets Have No Name and Howard told Xfm that it was fantastic for everybody involved.
"The crowd seemed to love it. It was an amazing moment," the drummer recalled.
"He even jumped on the drum riser half way through. It totally took me by surprise."
Howard added that Muse intend to top their Glastonbury headline slot during their forthcoming stadium shows.
He said the last time the band had played at Wembley they were nervous as it was their first-ever stadium gig, but they now have the experience of shows in arenas such as the San Siro and the Stade de France.
