It’s the time of year all musicians love. Although Namm 2021 isn’t the same as usual, Fender hasn’t let us down. They’ve announced a new line up of exciting models that will take your playing the to next level.
Fender always make a huge splash for Namm. And they weren’t going to let 2021 be any different. Thankfully, they’ve treated us to an array of new releases and there’s something for everyone. From artist signatures to homages of legendary models – check out all you need to know.
American Ultra Luxe
This is a series that takes playing comfort the next level. All the Luxe models feature an augmented “D” neck profile with Ultra rolled fingerboard edges and a tapered neck heel.

If you’re a Stratocaster fan, then the Ultra Luxe is available with either a SSS pickup configuration or an HSS with a Floyd Rose. If the vintage sound of a Tele is more your thing? You can choose between a classic SS design or HH with a Floyd Rose.
Staying true to innovation, all the single coils have Fender’s patented Ultra Noiseless technology while the humbuckers are Double Tap.

75th Celebration
Yes, it really was 75 years ago that Leo Fender created the Fender Electric Instrument Company. So, 2021 is inevitably the time to celebrate that moment music changed forever.

This Anniversary line up includes the Diamond and Commemorative series’. Both consist of Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass and Jazz Bass designs – all with premium features that honour the sound of the 50s and 60s. Plus, they’re easy on the eye as well as the ear because the Diamond Anniversary and 2-Colour Bourbon Burst finishes are, quite simply, stunning.
Noventa
With dynamic MP90 pickups at the helm, the Noventa series is where Fender kick things into next gear. The stand out model amongst this series is the Tele design. Sporting either a Vintage Blonde, Fiesta Red or 2-Colour Sunburst finish, this eye-catching style also boasts a half pickguard and cut Tele bridge. A single MP-90 single coil lies at the bridge and can be manipulated by master volume and tone controls.

If you prefer more pickups to experiment with then the Stratocaster and Jazzmaster answer your call. The Strat houses two MP-90s while the Jazzmaster design holds three, along with a tremolo. All three bodies in Noventa series are visually stunning, so whatever your musical style is, you can harness its beauty.

Artist Models
Some of the greatest artists of all time have collaborated on Fender signature models. This year will see a lot more musicians join the list and, if these first announcements are anything to go by, they’re going to cover a wide range of genres too.

Following the huge success of their Billie Eilish offering, Fender has released another artist ukulele. This time, it’s composer and songwriter Dhani Harrison. The uke is a Tenor size and comes in a Sapphire Blue or Turquoise finish with custom fretboard inlays and back engravings.

Next up is another acoustic beauty. The Joe Strummer Campfire is designed to do exactly what its name suggests. Its inspiration comes from the legendary campfires that The Clash guitarist held backstage at Glastonbury festival. With a solid spruce top, mahogany body, and Malibu shape it’s ideal for a group singalong.

The electrics joining the acoustic models in this batch of signatures releases are the Ben Gibbard Mustang, Chrissie Hynde Telecaster and Jason Isbell Custom Tele. Told you it was a wide range of genres. These three models cover Indie, Rock ‘n’ Roll, Roots and Modern Rock all with features worthy of the pros.
