Over 35 years old? Then you may have passed your popular music taste peak
According to the study, music tastes evolve at a rapid rate until your mid-twenties and mature by the time” or just “maturing by the time – referring to it as a ‘taste freeze’. But interestingly trends show listeners do come back round to pop music again in their 40s – which Spotify cheekily suggested could be a musical midlife crisis.
With popular music blasting out of a variety of audio systems from the youths of today, ‘turn that racket off’ is quote normally attributed to parents – And Spotify suggest that parenthood can age your taste in music by four years. But will you still be listening to the same music when you grow older?
