Royal harpist to play Somerset concert
The musician who is playing the harp at today's royal wedding reception will also be giving a recital in Somerset.
Claire Jones, who is Prince Charles' official harpist, will be playing at Somerset College in May, following a tour of the US and of course her royal booking.
Jones' music will greet guests and the royal couple as they enter Buckingham Palace following the ceremony.
Speaking to the BBC, she said: "It's such a great honour to be asked to perform at Her Majesty's reception at Buckingham Palace by the young couple, Prince William and Catherine Middleton so it was very exciting when the call came when they said they would like to book me for the day."
She added that she has many fond memories of playing for the royal family and of meeting the Queen and her family.
"Obviously the Prince of Wales is my main employee and he is the one I perform for on a regular basis but I've also done performances for the whole family, so it's been a really intriguing time," Ms Jones continued.
Ms Jones was first appointed royal harpist for two years back in 2007 and was then asked to extend her duties for another 24 months.
Earlier this week she tweeted that she had finally decided what to wear for the royal wedding/
