Tom Jones won't retire
Tom Jones wants to live forever.
The 70-year-old singer insists that, despite his advancing years, he has no plans to ever retire from performing and recording new music because he doesn't want to have any regrets.
He said: "I don't want to stop. Because I don't want to be 80, which is actually not far away, and look back and think, 'Why did I stop then?' I don't ever want to have any regrets.
"I hope it goes on forever. I'd like to live forever. I'd like to sing forever, because it's great.
"I'm having a ball."
The singer is preparing for the release of a new album, 'Praise and Blame', and admits recording the LP made him feel younger than ever.
He explained: "It was like being in a rock band again, like when I had my band in Wales, like when you al get into the back room of a pub to rehearse.
"You're all in one room and it's close. It was great to do that again."Posted on 17 Jul 2010 07:00 to category : Music News
