Full Description
View Full DescriptionHybrid shells that cut through the mix
The Armory series features 6-ply maple and birch hybrid shells, combining birch’s attack with maple’s warmth. This gives each drum a punchy character with a musical low end—great for rock, funk, and heavier pop styles. Whether you’re mic’d up on stage or recording at home, the hybrid shells offer a mix-ready tone with minimal tweaking.
Faster, easier tuning with SONIClear edges
Each drum is fitted with Mapex’s SONIClear bearing edge, designed to let the head sit flatter for better contact. That means easier tuning and a more consistent response across the kit. It also helps the drums sing at lower tunings, giving you more options for different styles without losing tone or clarity.
Durable hardware that supports the sound
Low-contact lugs and sturdy hardware reduce shell interference, helping each drum to resonate freely. This not only enhances tone but adds to tuning stability across longer sessions. The included mounts also provide solid positioning while keeping vibrations in check.
Travel-ready with included bag set
This pack comes with a full set of padded bags—one for each drum—so you can safely store and move your kit between practice, recording or gigs. With reinforced stitching and easy-carry handles, they’re a practical addition that saves you the cost and hassle of buying cases separately.
