The Godin 5th Avenue Uptown is powered by a pair of Custom Godin Humbuckers located at the neck and the bridge. The Uptown's neck pickup produces a smooth, and jazz-style tone with well balanced articulation. The bridge pickup delivers a warmer, yet clean sound that together with the neck pickup creates a sweet tone that is versatile. To sculpt your ideal sound, there is a Volume, Tone and 3-way toggle switch on-board that offer simple use.
The 5th Avenue Uptown features all Canadian wild cherry construction, which alongside the arched top and back, provides ringing sustain and superb playability. Wild cherry as a tonewood delivers projective and vibrant characteristics, yet it yields slightly mellower undertones. The 5th Avenue Uptown's wild cherry body provides players with an articulate sound that responds well to a variety of different playing styles.
The neck is made from Silver Leaf Maple, which brings bright highs, and crisp, tight lows. Silver Leaf Maple is a dense, strong wood provides stability and durability for a long lasting investment. The neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard, which yields plenty of bright attack and snappy tones, that enhances the maples tones. The maple and ebony combination enhances the guitar's overall tone with ringing sustain, and great response that works for a variety of playing styles.
The Godin 5th Avenue Uptown is equipped with high quality and reliable hardware, including an innoative Graphtech Tusq Base Bridge that is attached to the guitar's top, which means that adjustments are made through the roller saddles. There is also a Bigsby Tremolo on-board the 5th Avenue Uptown that adds its distinct outline to this guitar and complements the classy aesthetic. It also gives the ability to alter string pitches, either individually or on full chords. This can add an expressive edge to your playing, where chords can be altered with a subtle vibrato effect.
