About Sonor

Founded in 1875, Sonor started manufacturing military drums, from there they developed into making the masterpieces you see today packed full of almost 150 years of experience. The first Sonor drum kit was made in 1952 and today's various Sonor series have captured the very essence of this. Sonor continues to re-introduce analogue sounds into a digital world keeping up with high demands of durability, and reliability as well as standing out with some magnificent and unique finishes.

About Jojo Mayer

Drummer of the band "Nerve", Jojo Mayer was born in Zurich, Switzerland and grew up to be one of the most renowned drummers to date. At 18 years old he toured all over Europe playing at jazz festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival; from there he began to get recognised by an international audience. Despite his major contribution to his band "Nerve", Mayer has been a dedicated solo artist building up a creative and skilled drumming sound. Designing the Perfect Balance Pedal with Sonor in 2012 was a huge milestone for the classic drummer's career, especially when the pedal's design is impressive even in the modern day.

Jojo Mayer's Idea

Jojo Mayer designed the Perfect Balance Signature pedal as he couldn't find the right pedal for him. He struggled to find a pedal that had just the right amount of action with a great beater return, so he got to work alongside Sonor. Six years later, the Perfect Balanced pedal was formed, consisting of an ergonomic, lightweight design that stands up to the demands of today's music.
