The enticingly shaded body hue debuted in the late 1960s and was briefly revived with a more Pronounced greenish tint in 1977, when it first appeared on a Telecaster (on both body and pickguard).
Antigua-finish Fender instruments have appeared only sporadically since the late 1970s and are rare finds now, they're prized by discerning collectors worldwide.
So simple, yet incredibly versatile! Since the Telecaster's introduction in the early '50s, guitarists in all musical genres have relied on it for its powerful tone and smooth playability. This Antigua Telecaster guitar features the best of the old and the new: a fast-action maple neck, Fender Vintage "F" Style Machine heads, Vintage Style Single-Coil Tele Pickups and an original Vintage Style Tele bridge with 3 threaded steel saddles.
