The 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard combines the iconic Les Paul design with classic Gibson USA construction and a distinctive Tobacco Sunburst finish. Built in Nashville, Tennessee, this early-2000s Standard features a mahogany body topped with carved maple, delivering the powerful sustain and rich tonal character associated with the Les Paul.

A set mahogany neck is paired with a bound rosewood fingerboard featuring traditional trapezoid position inlays. Its 24.75-inch scale provides the familiar Les Paul playing feel, while the substantial mahogany and maple construction contributes to excellent sustain and resonance.

Gibson 490R and 498T humbuckers provide a versatile combination of warm neck tones and powerful bridge sounds. The traditional control layout features independent volume and tone controls for each pickup alongside a three-way pickup selector, providing everything from rounded clean sounds to powerful overdriven tones.

Traditional Les Paul appointments include a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece, Grover tuning machines, cream body and fingerboard binding and Gibson's distinctive carved maple top. Finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, the Tobacco Sunburst finish highlights the natural character of the maple top while giving the instrument a classic appearance.
