The Hermida Audio Zendrive by Lovepedal is a highly regarded analogue overdrive pedal designed to deliver smooth, dynamic and responsive drive tones. Its distinctive voicing provides everything from subtle valve-style breakup to sustaining low-gain distortion while retaining excellent picking dynamics and note definition.

Four controls provide detailed adjustment of the pedal's response. Gain determines the amount of overdrive, Volume controls overall output and Tone adjusts the high-frequency character. The Voice control changes the pedal's overall voicing and response, allowing it to be matched effectively with different guitars and amplifiers.

At lower gain settings, the Zendrive can provide subtle breakup and additional harmonic character to a clean amplifier. Increasing the gain produces a smoother, more compressed overdrive with additional sustain while retaining the dynamic response for which the Zendrive design is known.

True-bypass switching keeps the pedal out of the signal path when disengaged, while standard 9V operation makes it straightforward to integrate into an existing pedalboard.
