The Ibanez BTB845SC Terra Firma is crafted using a selection of poplar burl, ash and mahogany, delivering a warm tone with plenty of clarity. The unique body shape features an extended upper horn, which offers excellent stability and sustain. The back of the bass is also sculpted with a smooth, elegant neck heel. As well as providing stunning aesthetics, this contour provides easier access to the higher frets, allowing the player's palm to move up the neck with minimum effort.
A rosewood fingerboard delivers a warm, soft tone and a natural feel. Mounted with 24 stainless steel frets, the Terra Firma delivers a bright tone with enhanced longevity. A zero fret is also included and provides accurate intonation, along with consistent resonance across the whole the fingerboard.
For a powerful bass tone, the Ibanez BTB845SC is equipped with a duo of Bartolini BH2 dual-coil pickups that deliver a warm, balanced response with a tight bottom end and a full midrange. Achieving the perfect tone is easy with the 3-band EQ and three-way mid frequency switch with 250 Hz, 450 Hz and 700 Hz output options.
The Ibanez BTB845SC Terra Firma also features the Mono-Rail V bridge, which offers ultimate string isolation by independently locking down each saddle to the body for maximum vibration transfer without interference. The height of each saddle can be easily adjusted with a single screw.
