View Full DescriptionThe John Packer JP251SWST is an intermediate Bb trumpet combining a distinctive satin finish with a design developed in collaboration with Dr Richard Smith of Smith-Watkins. Designed for progressing students and experienced players alike, the JP251SW offers strong projection, responsive articulation and comfortable playing characteristics.
A specially designed Smith-Watkins leadpipe helps provide a free-blowing response and focused sound, while the high-grade 80:20 brass construction delivers a bright and projecting tonal character. The satin exterior gives the JP251SWST a distinctive appearance compared with the standard lacquer and silver-plated versions.
Three Monel alloy piston valves provide smooth and durable operation, while adjustable first and third valve slides assist with accurate intonation. The medium-large bore offers a versatile balance of resistance and airflow suitable for ensemble, concert, jazz and general performance use.
The JP251SWST is supplied from new with a protective hard case and is designed as a capable step-up instrument for players progressing through intermediate and advanced grades.
