Key Features
Introduced for 2013 is the Pawn Shop Super-Sonic model, joining the ranks as one of Fender's 'guitars that never were but should have been'. The Super-Sonic takes the stage as a long-vanished classic returning in modern form.
The Pawn Shop Super-Sonic resurrects the short-lived and collectible Squier Vista Series Super-Sonic guitar, with added characteristically 'Fender' details. The offset 'reverse' body, and upside-down headstock topping the 24" short scale guitar are well loved details used on many of Fender's popular guitars.
The controls of the Super-Sonic echo those of the old Squier model, the neck pickup and bridge pickup volumes are reverse-wired like the Squier original with three-way toggle pickup switching.
The 'C'-shaped neck features a 'bullet'-style truss rod and 22 frets on the 9.5" radius rosewood fingerboard.
Authentic vintage sound comes from the vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and the dual canted Atomic humbucking pickups. Other features include vintage-style tuners, a three-ply parchment pickguard and a new Super-Sonic four-bolt neck plate.
