Unique Body Wood Combination For Tone & Style

The JP100D-M combines the warm tones of African mahogany with the stunning design of a highly figured Hawaiian koa top. With the modern contoured body including a scooped forearm cut, the guitar is comfortable to hold and allows you to access the higher frets.

Easy Access Fingerboard

With a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, the John Petrucci signature features a classic wood combination to give you both snap and resonance. With 24 frets and a flat 16" radius, this is a guitar that gives no obstacles to your technique and provides an easy playing experience across the fingerboard. The 5-bolt neck attachment assists in reaching the top frets of the guitar with ease, and the 25-1/2" scale length allows for easy string bends and an authoritative tone.

U.S.A. Dimarzio Pickups & Switching

The Sterling JP100 now features the American-made Dimarzio LiquiFire and Crunch Lab pickups to give you access to the same tones that John Petrucci creates with his own guitars. The three-way pickup selector and the volume/tone control combination give you a deceptively simple yet incredibly versatile array of options to play with. Like John Petrucci's playing, the pickups are designed to be well-balanced and can achieve everything from crisp clean tones right through to the heaviest of distorted sounds.

Hardware Made For Reliable Performance

The JP100D features a Sterling by Music Man designed "Modern Tremolo" and is designed to provide smooth operation and an excellent ability to return to pitch after use. The guitar has locking tuning machine heads giving reliable tuning stability and allowing for quick string changes. The guitar has accurate intonation with an easily adjusted truss rod, and is made to stand up to the rigors of gigging and rehearsing.
